I first met Marc Boulware over
the CB radio in early 1987. His CB handle was
"Alexander The Great". Marc and some of his high school
friends showed up on the air, they were a fun group to
listen to. Marc and I shared many of the same
interest, and we became friends for life.
Marc was interested in CB radio, ham radio, shortwave
radio, FM radio, programmable police scanners, and just
about anything to do with radio. One of his latest
radio interest was HD FM radio. Marc was also interested in computers, and he turned that into a career. He started his own business "Excell Computer Systems" which was at http://www.excellcsi.com up to his passing. He was one of the most knowledgeable people I knew when it came to Microsoft Windows and PC hardware. He also enjoyed playing computer games. I spent several nights over at his house in the mid 1990s eating pizza, drinking Miller High Life beer, and playing Duke Nukem 3D, Doom 1 and Doom 2, Hexen and Heretic. Marc also loved the games Crystal Caverns and Realms of the Haunting. Some of Marc's favorite TV shows were "Manifest" and "Stranger Things". Marc was a big fan of the movie "Bruce Campbell and The Army of Darkness" and related t.v. shows and movies. He also loved Beavis and Butthead. Marc loved listening to music, and his taste included many different styles. He had a large collection of music, and he enjoyed investigating the history of popular songs and bands. Marc graduated from Northwestern High School in Rock Hill, South Carolina in 1986, and he attended classes at Winthrop College. Marc was a good friend, and I will miss him. Michael Rawls |
